Q: How can I tell if my roof is leaking?
A: Any of the following signs may be an indication of a leaky roof; mold, mildew, wet spots, blistering/peeling of paint, roof shingle sheathing and stains on interior ceilings.
Q: I have mold and mildew growth on the interior ceilings and walls of my house. What is the possible cause?
A:
Inadequate or faulty shingle underlayment allowing leakage, or inadequate ventilation.
Q: My roof is leaking into my attic after it rains, what can I do to prevent this?

A: Take a look around your home for objects which should be moved or stored prior to re-roofing.  If there are heavy items to be moved, please let Erickson Roofing know prior to our arrival and we will be pleased to assist in moving or shielding these items.
Q: What should I do to prepare the interior of our home prior to re-roofing?
A: Typical vibrations arise during the roofing process.  Ensure that all hung picture frames, loose light fixtures, delicate collectables and other items are secured before roofing commences.
Q: What is the cause of the dark patches on my roof?
A: The possible causes of this are environmental pollutants; vegetation, fungus or algae growth or loss of granules due to the age of your shingles.
